A major drive is underway at the Terry Griffiths Matchroom to encourage more ladies of all ages to take up snooker.
The Girl Power Package on offer includes Free Coaching, Free Membership and Discounted Tables rates. The month of special events runs throughout March.
And if that wasn't enough incentive drinks are on offer at special prices and there's a chance to have a 'taster' lesson with WBSA Qualified Coach Wayne Griffiths.
Ladies can take advantage of half price snooker rates before 5pm and a range of other special promotions.
Wayne commented "There's no physical reason why ladies can't play snooker alongside the men, but very few do take up the game.
"This isn't just a local issue, it's a worldwide fact that the game has historically been male dominated.
"Studies have shown that participation in many sports are lower for women than men.
"Here at the Matchroom, we're keen to break down the myths about snooker and clubs and will be actively encouraging more ladies from near and far to get involved."
An Open Day held on 14th March attracted keen lady players from as far away as Cardiff, and they were joined by local ladies, who came along to 'have a go'.

The ladies got a real bonus when, not only WBSA Qualified coach Wayne Griffiths set up coaching for the ladies, but Terry Griffiths also came along and gave his expertise to the players.
The Matchroom
has a long history
For one year the event was transformed into a Charity Fancy Dress Mixed Doubles, raising over £1000 for the BBC Children in Need Appeal. For the record the event was won by 'A Judge and a Bag Lady'!
Leading World Lady players such as Allison Fisher, Stacey Hillyard, Karen Corr and Kelly fisher all won events at the Matchroom.
In 1996 the club hosted the World Ladies final, when Karen Corr beat Kelly Fisher in a thrilling final.
The club has also been the base for several leading lady players. World No 4 June Banks, and No. 16 Jenny Poulter played at the club for several years, and along with Janie Watkins formed an All-Women's team in the West Wales League.
