Stephen Ellis won the first Pro-Am held at the Jubilee Club in Carmarthen in style, beating Carmarthen's own former professional Edward Davies in the final and topping off his superb performance with a career best break of 133.

Sixteen year old Ellis who plays all his snooker at the Matchroom and represents Matchroom C in the Llanelli League, collected the £500 first prize and a trophy after his 5-3 final win over Davies.

The first four frames were shared, but then Ellis fired in his career best break, for which he won the £80 high break prize.

Davies responded with a run of 46 to level at 3-3, but a break of 68 from the lanky left-handed took him ahead and a vital 27 clinched the next and victory.
