COMPETITION RULES

1 Competitors must register for the competitions they are eligible for between the hours of 4pm and 9pm on

Friday 12th September 2008 at the Megastore in the Main Reception Area.

2 Entry in the Pontin’s Open is restricted to four persons from any one apartment.

3 All players who are on the World Snooker Main Tour during the current season will give 18 points start in all frames

played in all competitions, with the exception of the Autumn Masters when they will give 28 points.

4 Competitors must report to the Control Desk in the Snooker Centre and be ready for play at the allocated time

for their match. Failure to do so will mean that they are penalised one frame for the first fifteen minutes or part

thereof that they are late and a further frame for each successive five minutes that they are late.

The times given in sequence of events may be altered subject to the numbers of entries and it is each players responsibility

to check their match times and be on time to start.

5 Some matches will be played by consent, but Official Referees will be present to adjudicate on any problems

that may arise during a match. In the event of a dispute, the decision made by the Official Referee will be binding

on both players. If, however, a decision by an Official Referee is not sought, the playing of the next stroke means

that any prior occurrence is condoned.

6 A Dress Code will be applied and no competitor will be allowed to play in a match unless they conform to the standard

required by the Tournament Officials. Collarless shirts, trainers or denim jeans may not be worn and if any player is in doubt regarding the Dress Code they should seek advice from the Tournament Director before reporting for their
match. Formal Dress will be required from the Quarter-Final stages in ALL competi
tions.

7 The Draws will be displayed as soon as possible and all matches will be timed.
