CLIFF SANDALL - General Manager

DEAR FRIENDS

Welcome to the Autumn Festival of Snooker here at Pontin's Prestatyn Sands.

It has been a snooker-packed year here at Prestatyn: World Snooker Qualifiers, Spring Open, Pro-Ams,

Businessland Under 21s, PIOS and the highlight of he Junior calendar,

The Lt. Col. Walter Rowley OBE Junior Star of the Future. Even with all those events,

you will still find the Snooker Centre in superb condition. With eight cloth changes throughout the year,

the tables are always fast and true.

I am certain you are in for a great Festival and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the

General Manager Cliff Sandall and his staff, John Williams, Haydn Parry and the Snooker Officials and finally

thank you for your continued support.

Enjoy your  snooker and the friendship of those around you.

Yours in Sport

ROLAND VAN LAERE - Director of Sports Development

COMPETITION RULES

1 Competitors must have entered those competitions for which they are eligible between 4pm and 9pm on

Saturday 1st September 2007 at the Snooker Reception Desk in the Main Reception.

2 Entry into the Festival is restricted to four persons from any one apartment.

3 All WSA Members who are on the Main Tour during the current season will give 18 points start in all frames
played in all competitions.

4 Competitors must be at the Control Desk at the Snooker Centre and be ready to play, at the time allocated for their match. Failure to do so will mean that they are penalised one frame, after fifteen minutes a second frame will be awarded. Subsequent frames will be awarded after every five minutes has elapsed until the conclusion. The times given in the sequence of events may be altered subject to the number of competitors in each competition. It is the responsibility of each competitor to check the times of their matches and be on time to start.

5 Some matches will be played by consent, but Official Referees will be present to adjudicate on any problems which may arise during a match. In the event of any such problem or dispute, the decision of an Official Referee should be sought and once a decision has been given that decision is binding on both players. If a decision is not sought, the playing of the next stroke means that any prior occurrence is condoned.

6 A Dress Code will be applied and no competitor will be allowed to play a match unless their dress is considered by the Tournament Officials to be the standard required. Collarless Shirts or Trainers or denim jeans may not be worn and if any player is in doubt concerning their intended dress, they should consult a Tournament Official before reporting for their match. Formal Dress will be required from the Quarter-Final stages in ALL competitions.

7 No drinks (other than bottled water), mobile phones, chewing gum or any food stuff are allowed to be taken into the Snooker Centre.

8 The various draws will be displayed as soon as possible after they are made and all matches will be timed.
