Biography

John played snooker in his youth, but had a long lay off, returning to the game in 1985, when he also became fascinated with billiards.

He was briefly a billiards professional and has won the Ayr billiards title in three consecutive years; also well as lifting several snooker titles.

A long time servant to the Ayr Association, in 2001 John also took up the challenge of running the Scottish Association's coaching foundation and became the Scottish team manager.
