Ian made a return to competitive snooker in 2003 after a ten
year lay off. And immediately made an impact on the Scottish
ranking series.
With a quarter final and semi final placing, not to mention
three runner up spots, Ian has stormed up to number two on the
Scottish rankings and earned himself international selection for
the first time.
His proudest moment to date came in 1991 when he won the
prestigious Glasgow Singles title, beating both Drew Henry and
John Rea along the way.
And Ian is content with his achievements on the snooker table,
he's turned his attention to golf with equal success, winning
the Fereneze Golf Cup twice, in 2000 and 2002.
After all that sporting activity he enjoys relaxing at home with
his wife, who then has to put up with him watching more sport on
tv, top of the list being golf, football and tennis and, in
particular, his favourite team St. Mirren.
