Biography

 

One of Ireland's early greats. Burke was twice Irish champion and a well known a popular club owner at Bray.

He joined Dessie Sheehan as Ireland's representatives in the 1974 World amateur Championship when the tournament was staged in his home city of Dublin and he reached the semi finals on that occasion.
