Biography

After a distinguished amateur career Stuart has written some significant headlines during his professional career.

In 2000 he created one of the all-time shock results when he dumped seven times champion Stephen Hendry out of the Embassy World Championship and in 2002 he was again in the Crucible limelight when he agonisingly missed the pink on 134 for a maximum break and £147,000 bonus! He made up for that error in the Qualifying event for the 2006 Masters, compiling the perfect maximum break to complete a 5-0 quarter final win over Marcus Campbell. Bingham went on to win the event and will make his Masters debut at Wembley in 2006. Sadly for Bingham there was no high break prize at the qualifying event. That win came on the back of a string of wins in the 2005-6 season. Bingham successfully negotiated all the qualifying rounds in the Grand Prix, UK, China and Malta events at Pontin's and as a reward will receive a brand new car from his sponsor.
