Biography

Pang Wei Guo first came to notice in the 1996 Castrol Honda World Cup when he defeated James Wattana, Noppadon Noppachorn and Tai Pichit to help his Chinese team to a memorable 5-4 win over Thailand. For good measure he weighed in with wins over Nigel Bond and Ronnie O'Sullivan in a 5-4 defeat by England.

In 1997 Wei Guo gained further useful experience against top opposition in the Riley Superstar International, held in Guangzhou. He inflicted another defeat on Ronnie O'Sullivan to reach the quarter finals, bowing out 3-2 to James Wattana.

In 1998 he was back at his giant killing best, this time beating Steve Davis 4-1 in the Red Bull Champions Super League

Since then he's reached the knock out stages of IBSF World Championships and in May 2002 successfully qualified from the WSA National Play offs to earn a place on the 2002-3 Main Tour.
