The Global Snooker Centre

Global Snooker Countries - Holland

Snooker in Europe is on the up and up and Holland is leading the charge, producing many high quality players from, probably, the largest player base in Continental Europe.

Holland are also bringing through junior players and have many keen youngsters participating in their events.

Ladies snooker is also vibrant and many of the Dutch Lady players compete regularly in international competition, with considerable success.

In team events the Dutch are a force to be reckoned with. They have strength in depth and are backed up not only by superb organisation but a coaching scheme that is the envy of many countries.

Dutch snooker will be on show in 2004 when Veldhoven hosts the biggest ever IBSF World Championship, incorporating the men's event, the world ladies and, for the first time, a world seniors event. With a 22 table set up, it promises to be a feast of snooker for players and spectators from all over the world.
